Faculty Profile

The Faculty of Engineering at the Indonesian Hindu University was established concurrently with the change in status of the Hindu Dharma Institute (IHD) to become the Indonesian Hindu University (UNHI) Denpasar through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 75/D/O/1993 dated May 19, 1993. Based on the decree, the Faculty of Engineering was officially established by managing one Study Program, namely the Civil Engineering Study Program. Then at the end of 2009, through the Implementation Permit Decree from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education, Number: 2333/D/T/2009, December 7 2009, the Urban and Regional Planning Study Program was born and officially opened starting the 2010/2011 Academic Year. To date, the Faculty of Engineering has only managed two study programs, namely (1). Civil Engineering Study Program; and (2). Regional and City Planning Study Program. Academically, the Faculty of Engineering was developed to focus on the fields of engineering and planning based on local culture. The Faculty of Engineering, through these two study programs, strives to produce 'graduate' graduates, skilled and professional human resources in the field of engineering to play a role in regional, national and state development.

Background

Vision of the Faculty

To become a superior engineering faculty capable of producing graduates who are religious, professional, have high competence, broad insight and are independent in facing the development of science and technology through the tri dharma of higher education based on dharma.

Mission of the Faculty

1. Creating professional human resources who have competence in their fields.
2. Implement transparent and responsible organizational management in accordance with national accreditation standards, and good corporate governance.
3. Implementing a curriculum based on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) according to the needs of the development of Science and Technology (IPTEK)

Goals of the Faculty

1. Increasing the competence of students and teaching staff
2. The availability of systems, procedures and faculty management mechanisms refers to national accreditation standards and good corporate governance.
3. Improving the quality of education and development of study programs.

Target of the Faculty

Based on the vision and mission above, FT Unhi has a goal that is constructive, intelligent and of high quality. In accordance with the vision and mission as mentioned above, FT Unhi sets the following goals:

1. Increasing student competency
2. Increasing the competency of teaching staff
3. Implementation of systems, procedures and mechanisms for faculty management in accordance with national accreditation standards and good corporate governance.
4. Updating the IQF-based academic curriculum
